Miroir d’Eau (the Water Mirror)

is a shallow reflecting pool perfect for kids to splash around on warm days and where the family can relax and enjoy a picnic.  It was constructed in 2006 and is one of Bordeaux’s most iconic spots near Place de la Bourse. This Monument was what led to Bordeaux finally getting unesco status in 2007.

Zoo de Bordeaux Pessac

is a short drive from the city center.  A trip to the zoo is always exciting for children and adults.  There are over 250 different animals which includes big cats, primates, and birds.  Visitors can participate in the feeding sessions as well have some up-close encounters with some of the animals if they wish.

is in Blanquefort just outside of Bordeaux, this beautiful park has caves, a lake, bridges, and plenty of space for kids to run around.
